The Saigon Special Forces (BĐSG) were a special force of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam (also known as Viet Cong), operating primarily in Saigon and surrounding areas from the 1960s to 1975. The BĐSG's mission was to carry out covert operations, attacking strategic targets of the Saigon government.
This force is notable for its feats, such as the attack on the Independence Palace during the Tet Offensive of 1968. The Saigon Special Forces made a significant contribution to the overall victory in the resistance war against the United States.
